Pro: Communicating with the host was both easy and responsive; we were met as soon as we arrived and handed the keys exactly as arranged and promised; As we had been traveling for many weeks we needed to use the washing machine but noticed that there was no clothes dryer (to hang clothes) or iron, we let the owner know and he came round with both, so excellent service albeit these really should have been available without having to ask (no ironing board though so had to iron clothes on the bed, this should be provided too) Facilities otherwise and interior of the apartment are as described and shown on booking.com. Apartment itself is very pleasant and in a good location for the centre of Cluj (about a 10 minutes easy walk) and there is a Carrefour Supermarket and Fresh Fruit/Veg Market approx. 5 minutes walk away, all in all the apartment has everything you need and we stayed for 5 nights and enjoyed it.
Contra: The price reflects that the apartment is in an old and poorly maintained building and as we both have extensive experience of traveling in the post communist countries this does not bother us as we know what to expect - the apartment itself is modern and well presented; however, describing the apartment as having access to a balcony/outside terrace really stretches this as the balcony is the 1st floor access walkway of the inner courtyard and the outside space is a communal ground floor inner courtyard surrounded by other apartments that have clearly not been renovated to the standard of Boheme and would not be considered as 'usable or indeed desirable' by anyone from Western Europe/USA etc - this should not put people off from staying at the Boheme apartments as we would certainly consider it again if we were to return but the exterior and interior are worlds apart and future visitors should be aware of this - be prepared for 'rustic exterior' versus modern interior and all will be good.
