Cabana de Vanatoare Belis

Pro: Nothing

Contra: We have had a confirmation and we have paid for accomodation upfront. In the morning before we arrived (drive od 10 hours....) we have send a text message that we are coming... no response (only by email, which is not in Romanian mountains wery usefull). As we arrived, we have found out, that the place was unavailiable, double-booking. On top of that, place is not as advertised by GPS and map point at the quite place, it is right next main MAIN road. Must say, and I am not happy about it, the worst experience with accomodation ever. I travel min. 3x a year....

Pro: Nothing. I would not recommened this place to anyone.

Contra: We tought we booked a nice house where we could spend our family holiday. But there is another house behind the hot tub. The owner was sleeping there, doing construction work and had a lot of visits of family and friends. This gave us no privacy. The house was not clean especcially the kitchen, there was even medicines and personal stuff of the owner. On the terrace there was a lot of mess of construction work. The boiler is NOT ok! We, but also our children got electric shocks in the kitchen and bathroom. We told the owner the first day, but he did not fix this problem. The tv was not working. He did not fix. The hot tob wil cost you 50,- euro to start up abd than 25,- every day. Best thing was that when we came back from a visit to the lake, that his own family was in the hot tub!!!!! Our holiday was horrible! We left the te house two night earlier than booked.

Contra: The host en hostess were really lovely, they made us feel welcome right away. Even though they didn't knew we were coming (something about not able to access their bookings) they made sure the house was ready within the hour for us to stay. The surroundings are gorgeous and 2 restaurants are on walking distance from the cabin. But... This is a hunting cabin, you'll see/smell it right away when you walk in. The whole ground floor smells like old blood, luckily the smell didn't go up to the bedrooms. And the walls are ornamented with skulls from his hunts (I've learned from the hostess that the host is woodward/hunter). Further the bathroom has the strongest smell (probably from washing the blood of after the slaughter). For the hunters amongst you reading this, this might be the spot for you. The house facilities are very basic. Bathroom: toilet is behind the door so mind your knees and is loose on the floor, for showering you'll have to hold the hose and wear shoes, the shower facilities are electrically charged... We solved this by helping each other showering. There was blood or other staining on the towel-rack. Kitchen: the oven was filled with tools not meant for the kitchen but for the the garage. The oven pans were filled with a slurry. Old sponges and dishcloth were still there. Further the house was clean and had its charm. Upstairs the rooms are clean, there's a bed and chair in each room, but no closets. The beds though are small and pushed under a sloping wall. The cabin is still lived by the host, when guests come, he moves to the other cabin on the ground. We were a bit disappointed in the cabin. Mainly because we didn't knew it was a hunting cabin. We are both animal lovers and for us seeing those 'trofees' was quite eery. We respect hunters and the hunt as it is a natural activity, but prefer to avoid contact. Description of the location on booking.com didn't meet the expectation at the scene.

Contra: Sajnos, úgy tünt, nem volt felkészülve a szállás vendégek fogadására. A hűtő tele volt idegen eredetű étellel, a mélyhűtő, megfagyott vérrel és húsokkal, nem volt bizalomgerjesztő. Savanyú szag járta át az egész házat. A teraszon egy megviselt kanapé, (lomtalanításból jobbat szereznék), olyan kicsit elhanyagolt hangulata volt a háznak, lehetne még sorolni.... Nah de mi nem vártuk meg az éjszakát itt, mondtuk a szállásadónak, hogy nem felel meg az igényeiknek a házikó és nem szeretnénk birtokba se venni. Végül visszakaptuk a foglalás árát. Egy éjszakát sajnos kénytelenek voltunk fizetni, amit a tulajdonos felszámolt, holott nem foglaltuk el a házat.

Pro: Gazda foarte amabila, primrea foarte calduroasa! Tot ce am solicitat am primit in timp foarte scurt. Multumim!!!

Contra: Poate sa-ti placa aceasta cabana doar daca esti dispus sa nu ai foarte multe pretentii de lux. Dar, daca iti plac peisajele frumoase si ai ales sa stai intr-o cabana pentru asta, vei fi foarte multumit!!
