Ava Republique is located on Republicii Street, the famous street of the historical center of Brasov. Only a 5-minute walk will get you to the Black Church, and to the main touristic attractions. Republicii Street is one of the most important tourist attractions in Brasov, an objective which should not miss it. From here you can walk freely on the cobbled medieval streets where you can enjoy a good coffee at one of tens terraces.
The city center is marked by the mayor's former office building (The Old Town Hall) and the surrounding square (The Council Square), which includes one of the oldest buildings in Brașov, the Hirscher Haus. Nearby is the "Black Church" (Biserica Neagră), which some claim to be the largest Gothic style church in Southeastern Europe. Brasov is home to one of the the narrowest streets in Europe. The Rope Street (Strada Sforii) is approximately four feet wide and it links Cerbului Street with Poarta Schei Street. This street was initially used as an access route by firefighters.
