The apartment is close to the First Romanian School and its museum, as well as the “Sfantul Nicolae” church. “Piaţa Sfatului” (Council Square) in the cobbled old town is surrounded by colorful baroque buildings and is home to the “Casa Sfatului”, a former town hall turned into a local history museum. In the Council Square you can participate to various events, one of the most famous being the "Golden Stag" festival. All the important days of the city are marked by artistic manifestations in this location. Here you will also find the famous Black Church, which is known for its medieval Saxon walls and bastions, the towering Gothic-style Black Church that has a famous organ with more than 4000 pipes and concerts are held today. Near the Council Square you find "Strada Sforii", the narrowest street in Eastern Europe. On the way to Council Square you will see “Poarta Ecaterinei” (Catherine Gate), which also served as a bastion and was the main gateway to Scheii Brasov. In the same area you can also visit the Graft Bastion and the Graft Canal, the White Tower. On Mount Tampa, you can have Brasov at your feet.
