Old Town apartment in a Historic Monument with a View!

Stay in the Old Town of Bucharest in a Historic Monument. During the renovation of the property we left original features such as the heating (soba). The apartment is located on the top floor of the building, which means that you will have to climb three stairs up. Please take this into consideration if you are of age or have limited mobility. The building was constructed in 1910 and overlooks Spital Coltea. This hospital's primary focus is training of new doctors; ambulances are rare and inexistant during the evening hours.

The two-bedroom apartment can comfortably sleep 5 persons. One bedroom (9m2) is equipt with a double bed, and a large built-in closet. The other bedroom (9m2) has a private sink, sofa-bed and also a large built-in closet. The hallway (6m2) is spacious and has lots of light. The bathroom has a full size bath, and is large of size (8m2). The livingroom (24m2) is loft style with a fully equipt kitchen, sofa-bed, and is spacious enough to use as common room for the guests.

It has been decorated with respect to the history of the building and Bucharest, but also to acommodate the needs of a modern day traveller.

We are Oana and Robert. She is Romanian, he is Dutch. Having travelled a lot, lived abroad together, and enjoyed many great places through Booking we are exited to finally have a place of our own to offer those visiting Bucharest. Oana speaks Romanian, English, Spanish and some Italian. Robert speaks Dutch, English, Bahasa Indonesia, Spanish and some basic Romanian.

We live close to the property and make the experience personal. We like to meet those that stay with us. We will meet our guests and personally hand over the keys. We will take the time to explain how everything works and answer any questions you may have; about the apartment or about the city. We know what it is like being a stranger in a country. So anything (within reason ofc) we can do to make your stay more comfortable we would be delighted to assist you with.

We enjoy meeting people from all over the world. But mostly, we get exited when you enjoy our apartment and your stay in Romania.

We bought the property becuase of its history and location. You are really within the Old Town. The Old Town is split in two by the Ion C. Brătianu Boulevard. With the party and nightlife on the left, and a more calm residential area on the right. We are on the right. You are no more than 5 minutes walking to the cozy streets of old centrum. It is a 5 minute walk to Metro Universitate (the most central metro station of Bucharest). The hop-on-off tour bus stops at the end of our road.

The Parliament building, one of Bucharest's most popular touristic attraction, is at walking distance. The walk is around 15-20 minutes and takes you through the old town, pass Unirii Square and down the boulevard Ceausescu created to imitate the Champs Elysees.

The best thing about the neighborhood is that you get the feeling you are part of history. The majority of the buildings on the street are historical monuments; some renovated, others not. Giving it an amazing vibe and gives you a sense of the past.
